Fan Yang studies existential thinking—how people think about and respond to fundamental life questions, such as meaning, happiness, morality, the self, and how to live a good life. She completed her postdoctoral training at Yale University and earned her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Peking University.
