As Associate Director of Research Initiatives, Kristi W. Bain oversees the Neubauer Collegium’s faculty-led collaborative research projects and the Visiting Fellows program, working closely with the Faculty and Executive Directors in delivering existing as well as new or emerging research initiatives. Kristi comes to the Neubauer Collegium with an interest in conceptualizing, framing, and supporting collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects, with a particular eye for how to best develop and enrich the impact that research projects have within and beyond academia. Before coming to the Neubauer Collegium, Kristi managed and directed collaborative research initiatives, project incubation, and impact development at the University of Cambridge. She also worked as a consultant in the UK heritage and faith sectors. Kristi holds a PhD in Religious & Medieval Studies from Northwestern University, specializing in late medieval English religious culture, medieval and modern English parish history, and cultural heritage studies.
