Biography
Sarah Ali is a Palestinian teacher, writer, and scholar from the Gaza Strip. Before pursuing her PhD, she taught English Literature at the Islamic University of Gaza for five years as a lecturer. She holds a BA in English Literature from the Islamic University of Gaza and recently completed a PhD in English at the University of Cambridge (2025), where she also supervised undergraduate students in literary criticism, modernist literature, and postcolonial studies. Her research spans English and comparative literature, critical and postcolonial theory, and modern Palestinian writing, with particular interests in metaphor and colonial discourse. Ali is currently a Postdoctoral Affiliate in the Faculty of English at Cambridge University.
