At this performance Asher Gamedze and the Black Lungs played some new material – open-ended, airy, and spacious - that is rooted in the practice of breathing together and invested in its importance. The ensemble was made up of some of Chicago’s finest improvisers from the Black Creative Music tradition, including: SuRa Dupart, Angel Bat Dawid, Julian Otis, Adam Zanolini, Cher Jey, and Xristian Espinoza.
