New Insights into Individual Magical Handbooks
Event Summary
This conference centered mainly on papers given by an international team of papyrologists who have collaborated on the Transmission of Magical Knowledge project, which is aimed at re-editing and re-translating the magical handbooks from Late-Antique Egypt. The papers discussed new insights and discoveries regarding these handbooks, as well as important differences between them, with regard to format, content, and intended use.
