Biography
Karen A. Morris is Professor of Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she has taught for 20 years. She is a lesbian mother, cultural anthropologist, and co-founder of The LGBTQ+ Intergenerational Dialogue Project. Morris is interested in experimental, community-based collaborative research, pedagogy, and social justice work. Her current work explores intergenerational connection between LGBTQ+ people, with a focus on care, kinship, aging, and activism.
