Christof Brandtner is an organizational and economic sociologist and an Assistant Professor at emlyon Business School. He served as a visiting fellow in the Department of Sociology and at the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation at the University of Chicago, and he is affiliated with the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society and the Research Institute of Urban Management and Governance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His work is supported by the National Science Foundation and the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences. Brandtner holds a PhD in Sociology from Stanford University and a B.Sc. in Business, Economics, and Society from WU.
